Abstract
These Regulations consisting of 12 articles amend the original text in the following (i) Application Scope, by modifying the application areas to include game reserves, game controlled areas, Wildlife Management Areas, wildlife corridors, migratory routes, wildlife dispersal areas, buffer zones, open wildlife ranches, public captive facilities and other areas with wildlife resources; (ii) Environmental Protection, including requirement to protect the surrounding environment against pollution and maintain the ecological balance of the region; (iii) Fee Adjustments, changing "concession fee" to "land rent fee" and updating various fee structures; (iv) Non-Consumptive Use in Hunting Blocks, allowing non-consumptive activities in hunting blocks with prior consent from the Director; (v) Revenue Distribution, detailing how revenue from non-consumptive activities should be shared among the Authority, District Council, and Village Council. The Regulations update also the Third and Fourth Schedules with new fee structures for various activities and areas.
