Decree No. 1482 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Technical Regulation on requirements for alternative motor fuels.

This Technical Regulation establishes requirements for alternative motor fuels manufactured and placed on the market for use in internal combustion engines of vehicles adapted for such fuels. This Technical Regulation applies to: (a) alternative motor fuel for gasoline engines - motor fuel (automotive gasoline) with a volume fraction of biocomponents of more than 10 percent and no more than 50 percent by volume; and (b) alternative motor fuel for diesel engines - motor fuel (diesel fuel) with a volume fraction of methyl and/or ethyl esters of fatty acids of more than 7 percent and not more than 30 percent by volume. Business entities are obliged to ensure, at all stages of storage and transportation of alternative motor fuel, such conditions as to exclude deterioration of the performance of alternative motor fuel specified in this Technical Regulation. Business entities engaged in retail trade in alternative motor fuels shall post the following information: (a) fuel designation - on fuel distribution equipment, consumer corner, information stand in the checkout area, as well as on information boards (if technically possible) installed at the entrance to the gas station, LPG filling station, LPG filling point; and (b) copies of quality certificates and copies of declarations of conformity - near the operator or in places accessible to the consumer of gas station, LPG filling station, LPG filling point services. When providing alternative motor fuel on the market, the business entity must provide the buyer, upon his request, with a copy of the quality certificate and/or declaration of conformity of such fuel. Each batch of alternative motor fuel placed on the market must have a quality certificate. It is prohibited to use in alternative motor fuel additives (additives) that contain at least one of the following components: phosphorus, compounds of lead, iron, manganese with a concentration of more than six milligrams per cubic decimeter, aromatic amines (monomethylanilines, monoethylanilines, etc.).
