Decree No. 295 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on state testing, state registration and re-registration, issuing the list of pesticides and agrochemicals authorized for application in Ukraine.

The state testing of new preparations shall be carried out for the purpose of biological, toxicological and hygienic, and also ecological assessment thereof and regulation of their safe application. The state testing of preparations shall be carried out by the scientific research institutions, enterprises and organizations that make part of the network of the state testing units in conformity with the common methodological instructions validated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The state testing of preparations composed of new substances shall be carried out for the period of two full vegetation periods. Institutions that make part of the network of the state testing units in case of necessity shall elaborate maximum permissible limits of contents of preparations in the fodder, permissible limits or approximately permissible limits for the water of the fishing water bodies and approximately permissible limits for the bee feeding. Preparations of pesticides and agrochemicals of the national and foreign origin shall be subject to compulsory registration. Formerly registered preparations the period of validity of which has expired shall be subject to re-registration.
