Abstract
The present Law establishes legal, economic, social and ecological basis of energy saving for all enterprises, associations and organizations situated on the territory of Ukraine and single citizens. The document consists of VI sections that contain 29 articles. Section I (arts. 1-9) lays down general provisions. Section II (arts. 10-17) establishes economic mechanism of energy saving. Section III (arts. 18-20) establishes standards and rate setting in the sphere of energy saving. Section IV (arts. 21-24) regards expertise of energy saving. Section V (arts. 25-27) regards control in the sphere of energy saving and establishes liability for the infringement of the present Law. Section VI (arts. 28-29) regards international cooperation of Ukraine in the sphere of energy saving.
