Order No. 1346 of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture validating quotas for the extraction (catch) of aquatic biological resources of national importance in fishery waterbodies (their parts) for experimental fishing for 2026.

This Order validates quotas for the experimental harvesting (catch) of aquatic biological resources of national importance for the year 2026. It aims to ensure the rational and sustainable use of fishery resources. The responsibility for its implementation is assigned within the Ministry.
The core of the document consists of extensive annexes setting out detailed catch quotas, measured in tons, for a wide range of fish and other aquatic species. These quotas are allocated for experimental (scientific) fishing rather than commercial exploitation and are assigned primarily to two scientific institutions: the Institute of Fisheries of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Fisheries, Marine Ecology and Oceanography.” The quotas cover numerous species, including freshwater fish (e.g. bream, pike, zander, catfish, carp), migratory species, and marine organisms (e.g. sprat, anchovy, mullet, gobies, flounder, and shellfish), with precise amounts specified for each species.
Geographically, the quotas are distributed across a very broad range of waterbodies throughout the country. These include major rivers, estuaries and limans, as well as the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. For each waterbody, the document specifies the authorized users, contract numbers, and total allowable experimental catch per species, thereby creating a comprehensive regulatory framework for scientific fisheries research in the country in 2026.
