Abstract
This Resolution defines a set of phytosanitary measures, which includes the detection, localization and elimination of the Chinese bearded beetle - Anoplophora chinensis. It is mandatory for state phytosanitary inspectors, other officials of executive authorities and local governments. Detection of A. chinensis shall be carried out by conducting inspection, survey, including sampling, phytosanitary examination (analysis), survey and/or monitoring, in accordance with the acting legislation. Survey and/or monitoring for the detection of A. chinensis is carried out in: (a) forest plantations; (b) garden centers/nurseries; (c) parks; (d) parks; (e) gardens; (f) places of production, marking and/or storage of wood packaging material from host plants; (g) settlements (trees along streets, roads, etc.); (h) places of phytosanitary control of regulated objects imported into Ukraine; and (i) other places where imported host plants may be stored or to grow. Inspection and/or monitoring are carried out by: (a) for the detection of A. chinensis pupae during April and May; (b) larvae of I-II ages - June, July; and (c) larvae of the 3rd-4th ages - in September, October in one- and two-year cycles development. In case of confirmation of the presence of A. chinensis based on the results of phytosanitary examination (analysis), the state phytosanitary inspector shall immediately submit a submission to the body that makes the decision on the introduction of a quarantine regime. A quarantine zone shall be established within a radius of at least 100 m around each host plant on which A. chinensis is found to be present. In the quarantine zone, host plants are inspected and/or monitored annually for the presence of A. chinensis with the selection of host plant samples for phytosanitary examination (analysis). Samples are taken from the lower part of the host plant, including the roots.
