Abstract
This Act establishes the National Planning Authority as a body corporate and defines its functions and powers. The principal function of the Authority shall be to produce comprehensive and integrated development plans for the country elaborated in terms of the perspective vision and the long term and medium term plans. The Authority shall have various bodies affiliated to it, and their heads shall be ex-officio members of the Authority. Affiliated bodies include: the Town and Country Planning Board, the Uganda National Farmers Association, the National Agricultural Research Organisation and the National Environmental Management Authority.
