Water Act (General Rates) Instrument, 2006 (S.I. No. 30 of 2006).

This Instrument, made by the Minister under section 107(2)(q) of the Water Act, determines in the First schedule the rates payable in respect of water supply and sewerage services. It also determines the annual indexation of such rates against the domestic price index, exchange rate, foreign price index and the electricity tariff. The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) will provide and maintain all water service lines and sewer service lines to its customers in the towns indicated in the Second Schedule. The Instrument also determines penalties for illegal connection or taking of water.
