Abstract
This Chapter provide for the designation and conservation of certain public lands in the Alaska, including the designation of units of the National Park, National Wildlife Refuge, National Forest, National Wild and Scenic Rivers, and National Wilderness Preservation Systems. The Chapter also provides comprehensive management guidance for all public lands in Alaska, including provisions regarding wilderness, subsistence, transportation and utility corridors, oil and gas leasing, mining, public access, hunting, trapping and fishing, and implementation of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. The Chapter regulates and limits hunting and fishing activities and provides particularly for subsistence hunting and fishing in protected areas.
