Abstract
The purpose of this Chapter is to assist in the conservation of rhinoceros and tigers by supporting the conservation programs of nations whose activities directly or indirectly affect rhinoceros and tiger populations, and the CITES Secretariat. The Secretary of the Interior shall, in consultation with the Administrator of the Agency for International Development use amounts in the Fund to provide financial assistance for projects for the conservation of rhinoceros and tigers. The Chapter includes the establishment of a Rhinoceros and Tiger Fund and provides for submitting project proposals to the CITES Secretary.
