Abstract
This Subpart F focuses on endangered plants, and defines several prohibited activities concerning any endangered plant, including: importation or exportation of any endangered plant; removing and reducing to possession, except when such actions are necessary to: take care of an endangered or diseased specimen, salvage a dead specimen which may be useful for scientific study; interstate or foreign commerce of plant species. This Subpart also concerns: issuance of permits for scientific purposes or for the enhancement of propagation or survival of plant species; specific requirements concerning species covered by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES); issuance of permits authorising any activity otherwise prohibited, in order to prevent undue economic hardship.
