Abstract
This Act authorizes the Secretary of the Army to carry out specified projects for water resources development and conservation and other purposes. The Act also contains general provisions about water infrastructure projects at federal an state level. The sections of this Act are divided in 5 Parts: Water Resources Projects (I); Generally Applicable Provisions (II); Miscellaneous Provisions (III); Infrastructure Technology, Research and Development (IV); Contaminated Sediment and Ocean Dumping (V).
he Secretary is authorized to provide assistance to non-Federal interests for carrying out water-related environmental infrastructure and resource protection and development projects described in subsection (c), including waste water treatment and related facilities and water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution facilities. Such assistance may be in the form of technical and planning and design assistance (sec. 219).
