Decree No. 984 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on export of fresh, dry and processed fruits and vegetables.

This Decree sets forth the procedure for export of fresh, dry and processed fruits and vegetables. Fresh fruits and vegetables shall be exported in accordance with direct contracts when exporters receive a 100% advance payment in foreign currency from the value of the shipped products. At the same time JSC "Uzagroexport" shall be authorized to export fresh fruits and vegetables on the following conditions: (a) no less than 30 percent of the prepayment from the value of the fruits and vegetables shipped, and for the remainder a confirmed bank letter of credit is opened or a first-class foreign bank guarantees issued; (b) without pre-payment, opening of a confirmed bank letter of credit or issuing a guarantee of a first-class foreign bank – in case of final payment to trading houses of JSC "Uzagroexport", as well as leading foreign importing organizations that are reliable and long-term partners, according to the list approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Exporters can supply fresh fruits and vegetables to foreign markets under the conditions specified in paragraphs three and four of this paragraph, on the basis of the commission agreement concluded with JSC "Uzagroexport". Rates of natural wastage (natural losses) of fresh, dry and processed fruits and vegetables destined for export are specified in the Annex 2. Annex 1 contains the list of fruits and vegetables authorized for export. Annex 3 contains export schemes.
