Governmental Decree No. 65 validating the Regulation on the protection of the territory of the Republic Uzbekistan from harmful organisms on plant quarantine and obtaining permits in the field of plant quarantine.

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for the protection of the territory of the Republic Uzbekistan from harmful organisms on plant quarantine and obtaining permits in the field of plant quarantine. Import to the Republic of Uzbekistan of plant products, including seeds and planting material, subject to quarantine inspection shall be authorized in the presence of phytosanitary certificate issued by the competent authority of the exporting country and import permit issued by the competent national authority. Transport means with produce subject to plant quarantine inspection shall be checked by authorized personnel at border crossing points. Samples from consignment can be selected for laboratory testing with a view of ascertaining absence of pests, pathogens and harmful organisms. In case of detection of pests, pathogens and harmful organisms, state plant quarantine inspector gives instructions for disinfection of motor vehicles. In case of impossibility of disinfection, the consignment must be returned to the country of origin (exporting country).
