Abstract
The present Law regulates relations in the field of protection and usage of the wild animals living in conditions of natural freedom on land, in water, atmosphere and in soil, which are permanently or temporarily present on the territory of Uzbekistan, as well as contained in semi-free conditions or artificially established habitats for scientific or nature protection purposes. The document consists of IV Sections that contain 41 Articles. Section I (arts. 1-13) lays down general provisions. Section II (Arts.14-29) gives the classification of the types and modalities of the use of wildlife; it deals with fisheries and hunting, management and conservation of hunting and fishing resources. Section III (art. 30-38) regards protection of wildlife; it deals with protected species, protection of endangered species, and conservation of protected areas. Section IV (Arts.39-41) lays down the final provisions; it establishes liability for the infringement of wildlife legislation and the modalities of dispute settlement. The particulars of hunting and hunting economy shall be regulated by the legislation on hunting and hunting economy.
