Ordinance No. 1 of the State Inspection for Plant Quarantine under the Cabinet of Ministers amending Ordinance No. 8 of the State Inspection for Plant Quarantine under the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on the procedure for seizure, return and destruction of products under quarantine.

Object of plant quarantine (pest subject to quarantine inspection) shall be intended a pest that does not exist or exists in a limited form on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the spread of which can cause great economic damage and is considered an object of plant quarantine requiring pest control. In order to destroy regulated products, the Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent departments of quarantine and plant protection, heads of regional bodies of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Department of Sanitation of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall constitute a commission consisting of at least 5 persons with the participation of representatives of regional units of the epidemiological service and public health service.
