Circular 27/2018/TT-BNNPTNT Stipulating the Management of Traceability of Forest Products.

This Circular stipulates the following: 1.procedures in harvesting common forest plants and animals; 2. The dossier of legal forest products, traceability of forest products; 3. Marking specimens of species named in the list of endangered, rare and precious forest plants and animals, wild plants and animals species named in the Annexes to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora; commercial finished timber products.
Article 3 gives the interpretation of terms. Article 4 provides for identification of forest quantity and volume. According to Article 5, the list of forest products shall be prepared by forest products owners after harvesting; when purchasing, transporting, exporting forest products at the same time and on one means of transport; when making dossiers of application for forest product export permits as prescribed or prepared by competent persons when making dossiers for handling violations. Forest product owners shall be held responsible to the law for the declared contents and origins of legal forest products in the list of forest products.
