Vietnam CITES Management Authority is an organization under the General Department of Forestry with the function of advising and synthesizing to help the Director General perform state management and exercise the rights and obligations of member countries of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
The Duties and powers of the Vietnam CITES Management Authority include: Organize and implement CITES resolutions and decisions, annual national reports on Cites implementation and technical reports at the request of the Secretariat, Conference of Member States and Committees; Manage, issue and revoke CITES licenses and certificates according to the provisions of law and CITES; etc.
