Decision No. 179/2004/QD-TTg approving the Strategy on application and development of natural resources and environment information technology till 2015 and orientation towards 2020.

This Decision approves the strategy on application and development of natural resources and environment information technology till 2015 and orientation towards 2020 and it has the following objectives: a) to computerize the system of State administrative management over natural resources and environment up to Vietnam's e-government standards, raising the quality and efficiency of natural resources and environment management; b) to reform administrative procedures for the system of registration and licensing of natural resources exploitation and use as well as environment quality; c) to create conditions for organizations and individuals to have access to information on natural resources and environment. The above mentioned strategies will be implemented on a five year basis.
