Decision No. 48/2001/QD-BTC promulgating the Maritime charges and fee rates.

The Decision sets the charges and fees due for maritime activities involving navigation, cargo transportation, passengers carried by, internal/external trades and docking for both domestic and foreign vessels. Article 1 indicates charges/fees to be paid according to art. 2 calculations per gross tonnage(GT), the engines'CV (CV=cavallo vapore, horsepowerin engl.), the time schedule for operations (in hours) the volume of the cargo (tons or m3), the distance covered (nautical miles). Appendix 1 and 2 indicate the rates for tonnage, security, docking applied to international and national vessels, respectively. Appendix 4 deals with vessels transporting crude oil and petroleum docking at pumping stations or in harbour.
