Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 24 articles divided into three Chapters, prescribes guidelines for the Law on veterinary medicine. The Decree is divided as follows: General Provisions (Chap. I); Animal Epidemic Prevention and Combat (Chap. II); Specific Provisions (Chap. III); Implementation Provisions (Chap. III).
The Guidelines cover the following: 1. System of veterinary authorities and policies applied to veterinary staff of communes, wards or district-level towns. 2. Funding for prevention and fighting against animal diseases. 3. Suspension of export/import; ban on export/import of animals and animal products. 4. Requirements for manufacturing, trade, import, testing and valuation of veterinary drugs; regulations on good manufacturing practice (GMP) for veterinary drugs. 5. Requirements for veterinary practice.
