Abstract
This Directive was issued by the Prime Minister to prevent and handle the violations against the legal regulations of Viet Nam as well as of international conventions of which Vietnam is a member.
Through this Directive, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities, including the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information and Communications, Supreme People’s Procuracy, Supreme People’s Court, People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, Mass media agencies propagandizing and disseminating knowledge and laws to combat violations of wildlife. The Ministries of Public Security, Industry and Trade, Finance, National Defense, Agriculture and Rural Development shall direct functional forces to strengthen the work of preventing, fighting and dismantling organized crime lines, transnational organizations in trading, transporting, exporting, importing, re-exporting, temporarily importing for re-export, advertising and illegally consuming specimens of endangered, precious and rare wild animals, especially rhino and elephant specimens from African countries; coordinate in strengthening the inspection and strict control of airports, seaports, international roads, trails and openings across the border; focus on detecting and completely dealing with places of illegal trade in wildlife specimens, including fake specimens, in border areas and in the domestic market; resolutely comply with the provisions of the law in the process of investigating and handling violators.
