Abstract
It is agreed that Vietnam accedes to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits arising from the Use of Genetic Resources within the framework of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies in, reviewing and evaluating cooperation with foreign organizations and individuals in accessing genetic resources in Vietnam in the period 2000- 2013, develop the Project "Strengthening capacity on management of access to genetic resources and fair and reasonable sharing of benefits arising from the use of genetic resources"; develop a Decree on management of access to genetic resources and fair and reasonable sharing of benefits arising from the use of genetic resources.
