Food (Control) (Amendment) Act (No. 27 of 2009).

This Act amends the Food (Control) Act as set out in the Schedule. The amendments, among other things, insert a new Part (3A) on standards for food fortification, i.e. the addition of micronutrients to food in order to improve the nutritional status of that food. The Minister of Health may from time to time, by Order, issue standards in respect of the fortification of any food in accordance with provisions of this Act.
