Maritime (Amendment) Act 1996 (No. 13 of 1996).

Section 18 of the principal Act is amended: (a) in subsection (2) by deleting the words "Minister may in exceptional case" and substituting the words "Commissioner may if he feels it is justified after consultation with the Minister". Section 18 concerns registration fees and tonnage taxes. Sub-section (2) concerns the right of the Minister to reduce or waiver registration fees.
