Abstract
The Act provides, among other things, for declaration and definition of the limits of ports, the appointment of and functioning of Harbourmasters and Port Officers, powers of Harbourmasters to move vessels and to give directions, licensing of pilots, pilotage, removal of obstructions, control of vessels carrying explosives or other dangerous materials, authorization of occupation of foreshore for certain purposes, government wharves and port charges.
