Resolution No. 415 of 2000 issuing the Implementing Regulation of the Environment Protection Council.

This Implementing Regulation consists of 4 Sections divided into 23 articles: Terms and definitions (I); Organizing structure (II); Council organization (sect. III); General provisions (IV).
Competencies and aims of the Council shall be: to propose general policies and strategies related to environment protection; to prepare laws, projects and regulation projects necessary for environmental protection; to establish just criteria for the protection of the environment; to coordinate the concerned authorities for the protection of the environment; to reinforce environmental programmes; to promote education programmes related to environmental protection; to study the EIA, etc. (art. 2). Section II deals with the formation and composition of the Council. The organizing structure of the Council, and the duties and competences of the General Administration are defined in section III.
