Abstract
This Resolution is composed of 9 articles. Terms and definitions are given in article 1. The Council shall be called the Environment Protection Council and shall be formed by 11 members (art. 2). Competences of the Council include: propose a general policy for environment protection against pollution; prepare projects of laws, rules and regulations for environment protection; propose an integral work-plan for environment protection; coordinate with the competent authorities; study problems caused by pollution; set out programmes for environment education and coordinate with international organizations interested in environment protection; collect information and prepare reports about environment; monitor the changes in the environment and natural resources; train cadres in the environment field; and, organize lectures, seminars and debates on environment protection (art. 3). The Council's Headquarter shall be in Sana’a (art. 4). The Council shall have its budget from the Cabinet Budget (art. 5). The Cabinet shall issue the Internal Implementing Regulation (art. 7).
