Amendments to Regulations in terms of section 44 of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998): Control of Vehicles in the Coastal Zone (No. R. 1426 of 2004).

These Regulations amend the Regulations that Control Vehicle Use in the Coastal Zone, 2004 by: inserting new definitions (including a definition of “estuary”); amending regulation 2 regarding precaution in use of vehicles that may cause pollution or other harm to the environment; amending provisions concerning permits to use vehicles in the coastal zone and licences for boat-launching sites; and in relation with appeals.
