Abstract
These Regulations, made by the Minister of Environmental Affairs under section 6 of the Antarctic Treaties Act 1996, prohibits the catching or attempting to catch any Antarctic marine living resources protected by the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources unless authorised by a permit issued by the Minister. Such permit shall set out relevant conservation measures under the Convention. Contravention of this rules shall be punished in accordance with Schedule 2 of the Act.
