Abstract
This Notice, made under the Animal Health Act of 2002, provides for: defining proper measures to prevent the spreading of foot and mouth disease virus through the movement of cattle, sheep and goats in certain areas; and repealing previous Notices concerning the same matters. According to the Notice, the movement of live animals is restricted in the defined disease management areas, except under the authority of State veterinary permit and documents and in compliance with the conditions of these documents, attesting the origin and health status of the animals, and the quarantine period for a minimum of 28 days.
