The Regulations establish a Sanctuary Area, four Restricted Zones (Abyss restricted zone, Africana II restricted zone, Prince Edward Island restricted zone and Southwest Indian Ridge restricted zone), and a Controlled Zone in the Marine Protected Area and place restrictions on boat-based fishing and use of gear in the Restricted Zones and the Controlled Zone.
