Abstract
This Measure of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries acting under section 4A(1) of the Agricultural Product Standards Act, 1990, prohibits the removal of regulated agricultural products imported for sale in the Republic of South Africa from the ports of entry specified in the Table, or any other place as determined by the Executive Officer, unless - (a) each consignment of such product has been inspected, graded, sampled for quality control and approved by the Executive Officer or designated assignee for such purpose; or (b) written permission for the removal of a particular quantity of such product has been granted by the Executive Officer on the conditions which he or she deems necessary. An application for - (a) the inspection, approval and subsequent removal of a consignment of imported regulated agricultural products; or (b) the removal of a particular quantity of a consignment of imported regulated agricultural products from the ports of entry specified in the Table, or any other place as determined by the Executive Officer, shall be made in the manner prescribed in the Annex.
