Regulations for the Management of the Amathole Marine Protected Area (No. R. 731 of 2011).

These Regulations provide for the protection of a marine protected area established in accordance with the Marine Living Resources Act. Its main objectives are to protect and conserve the marine environment and the marine biodiversity in the Amathole region. The Regulations place restrictions on boat-based fishing and requires fishing gear on a fishing vessel to be stowed and fishing vessels with gear to have a GPS system on board.
