Abstract
These Regulations make provision with respect to the development and management of the ecotourism industry of boat-based whale and dolphin watching. It also provides for the protection of whales and dolphins and seeks to protect turtles from adverse impact from the viewing of turtles.
The Regulations severely restrict the taking of killing of whales, dolphins and turtles. The Minister may determine the number of boat-based whale and dolphin watching permits and the areas of operation on the basis of criteria set out in these Regulations.
