Abstract
These Regulations make provision for the registration, conservation and management of protected areas and define rules relative to various aspects of use of such protected areas such as use of biological resources, various authorized or prohibited activities, “community-eased” natural resources utilization and prevention of pollution.
The Regulations shall apply to all special nature reserves, national parks and world heritage sites, unless specified otherwise and shall apply to a marine protected area that has been included in a special nature reserve, national park or world heritage site. Activities regulated by these Regulations include: hunting of protected species, cutting of plants and trees, use of biological resources and bioprospecting.
The Regulations also provide for the establishment of advisory committees by management authorities of protected areas.
