Abstract
These Regulations prohibit the sale of apples produced in or imported into South Africa, other than imported apples meeting specified requirements, and placed on the domestic market that do not meet quality standards as prescribed by these Regulations. The Regulations also define quality classes of apples and prescribe quality standards for each class, prescribe rules relative to packing and labelling (including traceability) of apples and make provision for sampling, testing and inspection of apples.
