Abstract
These Regulations prohibit the sale of apricots produced in or imported into South Africa, other than imported apricots meeting specified international requirements, that do not meet quality, packing and labelling standards and requirements as prescribed by these Regulations. The Regulations also define quality classes of apricots and prescribe quality standards for each class, prescribe rules relative to packing and labelling of apricots and make provision for sampling, testing and inspection of apricots. Among other things, apricots and their packaging shall be free from certain pests and diseases.
