Abstract
These Regulations prohibit the sale of avocados produced in or imported into South Africa that do not meet quality, packing and labelling standards and requirements as prescribed by these Regulations. The Regulations also define quality classes of avocados and prescribe quality standards for each class, prescribe rules relative to packing and labelling of apricots and make provision for sampling, testing and inspection of avocados. Among other things, avocados and their packaging shall be free from certain pests and diseases.
