Regulations relating to the grading, packing and marking of onions and shallots intended for sale in the Republic of South Africa (No. R. 621 of 2009).

These Regulations define quality classes and prescribe quality standards for each class in respect of onions and shallots to be placed on the market in South Africa and prohibit the sale of onions and shallots that do not meet standards and requirements as set out by these Regulations. The Regulations furthermore provide rules relative to packing and labelling of onions and shallots and public control on quality.
