Abstract
These Regulations prescribe maximum limits of metals in foodstuffs. They also declare, for the purposes of section 2(1)(b)(i) of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972, any foodstuffs listed in the Schedule to these Regulations containing lead, copper, mercury, zinc, cadmium, arsenic, tin and antimony in amounts greater than the amount indicated for the relevant foodstuff, to be contaminated, impure or decayed or harmful or injurious to human health.
