Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 23 of the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural remedies and Stock Remedies Act, 1947, concern the registration and other measures of control of sterilizing plants and lay down rules for the collection and transport of animal by-products and processed products, for the imports of animal by-products and for the sterilization of animal by-products. One of the aims of the Regulations is to prevent spreading of transmittable diseases affecting animals. A sterilizing plant means a facility where a process of sterilization is carried out to render a product free from pathogenic organisms. The Regulations also contain rules relative to advertisements for sterilizing plants and sterilization processes for animal by-products. "Animal by-products" are parts of an animal not intended for human consumption.
