Abstract
This Act establishes the South African Veterinary Council for purposes of carrying out control and supervision of professional activities carried out by persons practising of the veterinary professions and para-veterinary professions. Such persons shall register with the Council. The Council shall also, among other things, set norms and standards for the training and professional conduct. The registrar appointed under this Act shall keep registers in respect of all persons whose applications for registration in terms of this Act to practise veterinary professions of para-veterinary professions have been approved by the Council. The Council shall have the power to make Rules.
