Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Professions Regulations.

These Regulations implement provisions of the Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Professions Act, 1982 in relation to election of members of the South African Veterinary Council, the registration of veterinarians under the Act, education of veterinarians and fees. Council members shall be elected by persons registered or deemed to be registered in terms of the Act to practise a veterinary profession or a para-veterinary profession. The Regulations set out the qualifications required to qualify for registration as veterinarian, as a veterinary specialist, as a para-veterinary professional, as an animal health technician or as a veterinary technologist.
