Abstract
Section 2 prohibits various operations relative to production and sale of wine or spirits without having obtained the appropriate authority, consent or permit. De Vereniging, the cooperative society of South African winegrowers shall carry out various tasks assigned to it by the present Act. No wine may be acquired by winegrowers from another winegrower (sect. 6). Section 11 and 25 define regulation-making powers of the Minister. Chapter II provides for wine intended for other than distillation purposes. De Vereniging shall issue a permit to grow wine under section 15, and consent to export of wine under section 16. Premises carrying out activities in connection with wine shall be registered under section 16A. Chapter V concerns insufficient production of wine and consequential importation of wine by the Vereniging. Chapter V provide for over-production wine.
