Abstract
This Act makes provision for various aspects of status, use and navigation of every type of water craft used for transportation on inland waters, i.e. such waters as may be declared to be inland waters by the President pursuant to section 10. The Act applies in part also to fishing vessels, a definition of which is given in section 2. Part II concerns the survey and registration of vessels in the port of registry. Only registered vessels shall be used for navigation on inland waters.
