Local Administration (Trade Effluent) Regulations (Cap. 281).

These Regulations require consent of the Council as defined by section 65 of the Local Government Act for the discharge of trade effluent (as defined by these Regulations). Any discharge of trade effluent into a public sewer shall conform to the conditions and standards for chemical and physical parameters set out in column 2 of the First Schedule whereas any discharge from any sewage works or any discharge other than into a public sewer shall conform to the conditions and standards for chemical and physical parameters set out in column 3 of the First Schedule. Other provisions of these Regulations concern, among other things, conditions for discharge, sampling and monitoring and prescribe offences.
