Abstract
This Act: establishes the Board of Veterinary Surgery; defines its functions and powers; provides for the registration of veterinary surgeons; and prohibits unregistered persons to practise veterinary surgery or medicine in Zambia.
The Board shall include a Director Veterinary Services. The Act sets out the qualifications required for registration as a veterinary surgeon and defines disciplinary powers of the Board. A person aggrieved by decisions of the Board may apply to the High Court. The First Schedule sets out veterinary practices that may be provided or carried out by unregistered persons.
