Abstract
Regulation making powers of the competent minister, being the Minister of Lands, Agriculture and Rural Settlements for purposes of eradication and prevention of animal pests and diseases are outlined in section 5 of the Animal Health Act. These Regulations declare things specified in Second Schedule infectious things for purposes of these Regulations and list animals to which these Regulations apply in First Schedule. They regulate the importation in Zimbabwe of animals and imported things, such as embryos, carcasses, specified animal products and drugs. The Regulations apply to fish and crustacean. Permits for the importation of animals and things to which these Regulations apply shall be issued by the Director of Veterinary Services in the form set out in Schedule 3. Comma 2 of regulations 6 specifies exemptions form the requirement to import only with a valid permit. (10 regulations completed by 5 Schedules)
