Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 542 articles divided into XII Titles, regulates Law No. 2.883 of 18 December 1950, and Law No. 7.889 of 23 November 1989, on the industrial and sanitary inspection of products of animal origin. The Decree is divided as follows: Preliminary Provisions and Scope of Operation; General Classification; Registration and Relationship of Establishments; General Conditions of the Establishments; Industrial and Sanitary Inspection; Standards of Identity and Quality; Registration of Products, Packaging, Labelling and Inspection Stamps; Laboratory Analysis; Industrial and Sanitary Reinsection; Transit and Sanitary Certification of Products of Animal Origin; Responsibilities, Precautionary Measures, Infringements, Penalties and Administrative Process; Final and Transitional Provisions.
